1907 Print Vittore Carpaccio Legend Saint Ursula Farewell Parents XAG8 CON1 Pacific LimitedThis is an original 1907 halftone print of a piece by Venetian Renaissance artist Vittore Carpaccio (c. 1465 1525), who is best known his conservative, large scale detachable wall paintings, which were not as humanistic in nature as the work of his other Italian contemporaries. Carpaccio also did a number of paintings focusing of the legend of Saint Ursula, and this one is of no exception. Here, we see Saint Ursula bidding farewell to his parents
